Why I left Hotel Delisi just two hours after arriving
Before booking Hotel Delisi at 57 Nutsubidze Street, Tbilisi, I suggest taking a close look at recent guest reviews and checking the room in person if possible. My own stay ended roughly two hours after arrival, despite having paid GEL 384 for three nights.
What made me leave was the combination of several problems: the room was dirty, there were insects, visible dampness and mold, and the walls were peeling. There was also an unpleasant bathroom smell, the bed was uncomfortable, and I could not use the Wi-Fi because it was not working. Together, these issues made the room unsuitable for my stay.
I brought the problems to Ana’s attention, but I did not feel that my concerns received a serious or respectful response. I found her manner rude. She also insisted that I pay in cash, and I received no receipt for my payment. The interaction added to my disappointment instead of helping resolve it.
While searching Google for “Hotel Delisi” and “Ana Chuchulashvili,” I also found posts and warnings from other people. I cannot confirm whether their accounts are accurate, so I encourage anyone interested to read the material and judge it for themselves. What I can describe directly is my own experience: I paid for a three-night booking and decided to leave after approximately two hours.
For anyone considering this property, my advice is to ask to see the room before handing over money. Check for dampness, cleanliness and bathroom odors, test the Wi-Fi, and make sure you understand the cancellation conditions. Always ask for a receipt.
Based on my experience, I would choose another place to stay. I expected a clean room, working facilities and courteous treatment, and I left deeply disappointed.
